For many, Reigate and Banstead is a wonderful place in which to live. However, despite being one of the wealthiest Boroughs in England, Reigate and Banstead has unseen pockets of hardship and deprivation. Run by volunteers and managed by the Community Foundation for Surrey (CFS), the Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead exists to address this need and improve the lives of local people across the Borough.
Our ambition is to inspire local philanthropy and create a sustainable source of support to address the many arising needs across the area. The Fund is for residents and businesses to come together and support our Borough’s local communities through funding vital projects such as community sports clubs, counselling and wellbeing projects, and other local projects benefiting local people – it is an investment in our future. We are delighted to have been able to distribute more grants to local good causes, particularly to groups assisting in the response of the coronavirus pandemic at this time:
School Days Project – The project supports schools and students to access the practical items they need to make the most of their education.
Funding towards the essential running costs of a charity that runs the food banks in Epsom and Ewell and Reigate and Banstead.
Our independent grant making panel is supported by the Community Foundation for Surrey, Crispin Blunt MP for Reigate, and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, and is made up of local stakeholders and donors with a knowledge and interest in the community.
The Community Fund for Reigate and Banstead comprises donations from individual residents and local companies. It has both a long-term endowment fund for future growth, and a grants fund from which disbursements are made to local charities and good causes on a regular basis. Donations can be made at any level, as a one-off contribution or as a standing order (supporting the fund longer-term). We also accept gifts of cash, legacies, shares, property or land.

Applying for funding is easy. Simply fill out a quick Expression of Interest Form (EOI) to start the application process.
Tell us what you want to do, and how much you would like to apply for. The EOI is designed to save you time and provide us with a little more information about your funding needs prior to making a full application.
The grants team will then review your EOI against our fund criteria and advise you if we can invite you forward to make a full application.
